Chief Psychiatrist - Summary
- Lead psychiatric services within nationally recognized young adult and eating disorder programs.
- Oversee multidisciplinary team collaboration, program development, and clinical outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments utilizing DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, integrating evidence-based modalities.
- Lead and mentor the psychiatric team, serving as a clinical resource for complex cases.
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and therapeutic staff to ensure holistic, patient-centered care.
- Balance medication management strategies, emphasizing minimized use of controlled substances where clinically appropriate.
- Engage in program development, quality assurance initiatives, and participate in assigned clinical committees.
- Act as a liaison between psychiatric staff, executive leadership, and treatment teams to optimize patient care.
- Support seamless transitions of care for patients moving to discharge or step-down programs.
- Provide on-call psychiatric coverage as required to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution with completed fellowship training in psychiatry.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active medical license or eligibility for licensure, with an unrestricted DEA registration.
- DEA waiver for Buprenorphine prescribing, or willingness to obtain.
- Preferred: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in eating disorder treatment settings.
- Preferred: Experience with young adult psychiatric populations and at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Preferred: Background in medical administration and program oversight.
