As a Chief Engineer, you will be tasked with overseeing engineering functions, coordinating with transportation and security departments, and implementing preventative maintenance programs. Chief Engineer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

- Handle procurement and inventory management for repair parts.
- Establish and maintain vendor relationships for supplies and services.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule for all building systems and process equipment.
- Manage the departmental budget with a focus on parts, supplies, and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with wastewater and emissions regulations.
- Supervise outside contractors performing repairs and maintenance.
- Support off-site plant startups and special engineering projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, as well as mechanical and plumbing blueprints.
