As a Chief Engineer, you will work collaboratively with engineering, transportation, and security teams to guarantee a safe, clean, and efficient facility. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate preventative maintenance schedules, and ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally. Your role involves working closely with other members of the management team, staff, and committees to foster productive relationships and maintain a high standard of facility management. Chief Engineer - Summary

- Oversees the maintenance of plant utilities, equipment, and grounds for laundry and plant environments.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and proper functioning of all operating equipment within the facility.
- Develop and implement training programs for staff in plant and emergency procedures.
- Procure repair parts for routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement and service.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all facility systems.
- Monitor departmental budget, focusing on effective management of parts, supplies, and labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with all wastewater and emissions standards and regulations.
- Supervise outside contractors for repairs and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Participate in plant startups and special projects as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent military experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and exhibit leadership qualities.
- Advanced knowledge of plant maintenance systems, including electrical, boilers, hydraulics, compressed air, and mechanical equipment.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with vendor management and procurement processes.
