As part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – OB Anesthesia will be responsible for managing anesthesia for labor and delivery, including high-risk and complex cases. The position requires overnight coverage, primarily on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends, ensuring that patients receive expert care during critical hours. Candidates with strong skills in epidural and spinal anesthesia, as well as experience in ventilation management and acute care evaluation, will excel in this setting. Proficiency in central and arterial line placement is preferred, and OB-focused clinical experience is essential.

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – OB Anesthesia Summary- Specialized anesthesia care for obstetric patients in a high-volume academic hospital setting
- Focus on epidural and spinal anesthesia for labor and delivery
- Overnight shifts with coverage on Mondays, Fridays, and weekends

- Evaluate and respond to acute volume and blood pressure issues in the OB setting
- Perform (preferred) central and arterial line placements
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Epic EMR system
- Participate in patient assessment, care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards
- Provide overnight, in-house anesthesia coverage as scheduled

- Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
- Active NC license or eligibility through Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- Board certification required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proven experience in OB anesthesia, including epidural and spinal anesthesia
- Preferred experience with central and arterial line placement
- Familiarity with Epic EMR is beneficial
- Credentialing process: 60–90 days prior to assignment start
- Experienced CRNA with demonstrated expertise in obstetric anesthesia
- Strong skills in epidural and spinal anesthesia techniques
- Ability to manage high-acuity, high-volume labor and delivery cases
