If you are a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) seeking a flexible, rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a collaborative outpatient surgical environment, this is an exceptional role to consider. This locum tenens CRNA position offers weekday-only shifts with no call, weekends, or holiday requirements, promoting a balanced work-life experience. The position is based in southeastern Wisconsin, a region known for its vibrant healthcare community and welcoming atmosphere.

As a locum CRNA, you will join a reputable health system where you will provide independent anesthesia care for a variety of outpatient surgical cases. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who value autonomy, flexibility, and the ability to focus on patient-centered care without the demands of inpatient responsibilities. You will work alongside skilled surgical and anesthesia teams, with physician support available but not in a direct supervisory role, allowing you to utilize your expertise and clinical judgment to its fullest extent.

The clinical environment is structured to support high-quality, efficient anesthesia delivery. You will be responsible for independently managing anesthesia for general surgery, ENT, orthopedic, GI, gynecological, and regional block cases. There is no requirement to cover obstetric, pediatric, trauma, or cardiac cases, simplifying your focus and allowing you to specialize in your preferred areas. The facility utilizes the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system, streamlining documentation and supporting seamless interdisciplinary communication.

Credentialing for this locum CRNA position generally ranges from 90 to 120 days, and candidates must hold a valid Wisconsin license or an active multistate license via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). The health system provides comprehensive credentialing support, handling all necessary paperwork to ensure a smooth onboarding process. You will benefit from paid malpractice insurance (A-rated coverage), and all travel and lodging expenses are included, reducing administrative burdens and allowing you to focus on patient care.

Additional benefits include 24/7 recruiter and operations support, access to optional ICBA benefits for 1099 contractors (including health, dental, life, and disability coverage), and referral bonuses for successful introductions of fellow CRNAs. Assignments are available nationwide, offering future possibilities for ongoing locum tenens work. This position is an excellent match for CRNAs who thrive in outpatient settings and are eager to provide exceptional anesthesia services within a supportive, efficient team environment.
