Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Locum Summary
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Locum role involves providing anesthesia care to a diverse patient population across general, orthopedic, plastic, OB, vascular, trauma, neuro, pediatric, cardiac, and carotid cases. CRNAs will work within a medically directed care team model, typically in a 1:3 supervision ratio. The assignment is based on a contract with options for various shift patterns and guaranteed weekly hours. There is no required call, and scheduling will be determined by the site. Expedited credentialing options are available for those who qualify.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care for a wide variety of surgical procedures, including high-acuity trauma cases.
- Function as a key member of a multidisciplinary care team in a Level I trauma center.
- Manage anesthesia for general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, obstetrics, vascular, trauma, neuro, pediatrics, cardiac, and carotid surgeries.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination, if experienced.
- Support the credentialing process, including willingness to obtain privileges at nearby affiliated sites as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and state requirements for CRNA practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current NBCRNA certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) required.
- Active Pennsylvania RN and CRNA licenses preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Completion of Pennsylvania Child Abuse clearance as mandated by state law.
- Minimum of two years of CRNA clinical experience required.
- Epic EMR experience preferred, not mandatory.
- Willingness to credential at an affiliated site as needed is a plus.
