Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to adolescent and adult patients for diverse surgical procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, spine, gynecology, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery
- Provide out-of-operating-room anesthesia for procedures such as GI endoscopy, MRI, and cardiovascular/TEE cases
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, formulate care plans, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative period
- Manage general anesthesia, spinal cases, ventilation, and acute hemodynamic/volume status
- Place, monitor, and manage arterial lines as clinically indicated
- Participate in a medical direction (ACT) model with 4:1 supervision
- Document all care in the Epic EMR system thoroughly and accurately
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality patient care

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the NBCRNA
- Active state-specific CRNA license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent CRNA experience in a clinical setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
- Current DEA registration
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Clean malpractice and background history
