Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) positions offer advanced practice nursing professionals the opportunity to deliver high-quality anesthesia care in a dynamic healthcare environment. We are currently seeking a CRNA for a contract assignment at a respected community hospital in South Carolina, providing comprehensive anesthesia services in collaboration with a supportive medical team. This contract CRNA opportunity is ideal for candidates who value predictable scheduling, a collegial workplace, and a clinically diverse yet manageable caseload.
As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will play a vital role in patient care by ensuring safe and effective anesthesia administration for adult and adolescent patients. The facility features eight well-equipped operating rooms and manages approximately 200 surgical cases each month. You will practice independently within a collaborative anesthesia department, supported by a dedicated anesthesia technician and access to modern electronic medical record systems such as Epic EMR.
Typical surgical case types include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and ENT, focusing on standard, bread-and-butter anesthesia procedures with minimal subspecialty complexity. This creates an excellent environment for CRNAs who prefer a balanced case mix and the ability to maintain a strong work-life balance.
The contract assignment is structured for 26 weeks, with potential for extension, and provides flexibility in scheduling. CRNAs may choose between 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts, allowing for customized workweek layouts. Home call is required as part of an equitable group rotation, typically every other week. Weeknight and weekend home call responsibilities are shared among the anesthesia team, with post-call days generally resulting in time off or early dismissal. The facility values teamwork and supports CRNAs with shared resources and a collaborative culture focused on patient safety and professional respect.
To qualify for this Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role, candidates must hold active NBCRNA certification and possess a valid state CRNA license. A minimum of one year of clinical anesthesia experience is required, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications. A history of clean malpractice and background checks is essential. Prior experience with Epic EMR is preferred, and candidates must comply with all vaccination requirements established by the facility.
The compensation package for this contract CRNA assignment is highly competitive, with top-of-market hourly rates that are negotiable based on availability, call participation, and overall commitment. Premium compensation is provided for overtime and holiday coverage, alongside competitive pay for home call and callback responsibilities. All travel logistics, including paid airfare, lodging, and rental car, are fully coordinated and covered. Comprehensive A-rated malpractice insurance is provided throughout the assignment.
Additional benefits include access to dedicated credentialing specialists, full travel coordination, independent contractor benefits through ICBA, referral bonuses, and exclusive access to nationwide anesthesia opportunities. The staffing partner is committed to building long-term relationships with CRNAs and offers 24/7 recruiter and operations support to ensure a seamless assignment experience.
