Typical surgical case types include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and ENT, focusing on standard, bread-and-butter anesthesia procedures with minimal subspecialty complexity. The contract assignment is structured for 26 weeks, with potential for extension, and provides flexibility in scheduling. CRNAs may choose between 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts, allowing for customized workweek layouts. Home call is required as part of an equitable group rotation, typically every other week. Weeknight and weekend home call responsibilities are shared among the anesthesia team, with post-call days generally resulting in time off or early dismissal.
