The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled anesthesia professional to join a hospital-based inpatient team. This role is designed for experienced CRNAs seeking locum opportunities to expand their clinical expertise and collaborate with a dedicated care team. The CRNA will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective anesthesia care to a primarily adult patient population in a well-supported, single-site hospital environment. As a CRNA, you will utilize your advanced knowledge in anesthesia practice, participate in diverse surgical procedures, and work within a supportive model that emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care.

This locum CRNA position is available for a defined period, making it ideal for professionals seeking flexibility and varied clinical experience. The hospital utilizes Cerner EMR to streamline documentation and care coordination. You’ll join a care-team model where CRNAs are supervised, ensuring a collaborative work environment tailored for excellence in patient outcomes. The case mix encompasses general surgery, endoscopy, obstetric anesthesia (including spinals and epidurals), basic orthopedic and vascular procedures, bariatrics, urogynecology, and regional anesthesia techniques. Notably, there are no open heart, neurosurgery, or complex vascular/orthopedic cases, and the patient population consists mainly of adults, with minimal pediatric involvement.

Candidates for this Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position must hold current board certification, as well as advanced life support certifications (ACLS, BLS, ABLS). State licensure in Georgia or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) is required. Temporary privileges are available for this coverage, and the credentialing process typically takes around 14 days with a complete file. Hospital or surgery center privileges are not required, simplifying the onboarding process for qualified CRNAs.

The CRNA will work scheduled clinical hours on weekdays and participate in scheduled weeknight and weekend call rotations. The work environment is hospital-based with a throughput of approximately eight patients per shift and a total of fourteen department beds, ensuring a manageable and focused caseload. All services are provided at a single campus, so there is no need for multi-campus travel, which allows for a more stable and predictable workday.

Professionals joining this locum CRNA assignment will benefit from a comprehensive support package, including paid travel and lodging (either arranged by the agency or provided as a stipend), paid malpractice insurance (occurrence-based), dedicated credentialing assistance, and round-the-clock recruiter support. Referral bonuses are also available, providing additional incentives for those who refer qualified colleagues. This position is structured as an independent contractor (1099), allowing for flexible work arrangements and the opportunity to build your clinical portfolio.

The hospital is located in a vibrant regional hub along the Chattahoochee River in west-central Georgia, within driving distance of Atlanta. This area offers a welcoming environment and a supportive medical community, making it an attractive destination for locum CRNAs seeking both professional growth and a positive lifestyle experience during their assignment.
