Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary
This Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position involves providing anesthesia care for a diverse adult patient population across general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, head/neck, thoracic, neurology, ENT, and obstetric cases in both hospital and ambulatory surgical settings. The role is supervised under a 1:3 MD care team model, with flexible scheduling options and no required call shifts. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient safety, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring seamless perioperative care through all phases of anesthesia administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a range of adult surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, head/neck, thoracic, neurology, ENT, and obstetric cases (cardiac and pediatric cases are not required).
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals in a 1:3 MD supervision care team model.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop anesthesia care plans, and monitor patients throughout the perioperative process.
- Utilize EPIC (Health Connect) electronic medical records system for documentation and patient data management.
- Adapt to varying patient loads and assignment changes as required by the surgical schedule.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Board Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred but may be waived based on experience and assignment needs.
- Experience with adult anesthesia for a variety of surgical specialties; obstetric anesthesia experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record systems is advantageous.
- Ability to secure credentialing within approximately 60 days.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional ethics.
