Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary
- Deliver anesthesia services independently in a hospital-based setting.
- Work closely with surgical teams across general surgery, gynecology, retina, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopedic spine, general orthopedics, podiatry, and dental procedures.
- Rare involvement with trauma cases, limited primarily to orthopedic and ophthalmic emergencies.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for patient documentation and coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia independently for a variety of surgical procedures, adapting techniques to specific patient and procedural needs.

- Participate in a rotating call schedule, including weekday and weekend coverage, with the ability to respond effectively to emergent surgical needs.
- Manage anesthesia care in settings with limited subspecialty support, demonstrating autonomy, clinical judgment, and adaptability.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation using the EPIC system.
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), with eligibility for practice.
- Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
- Proficient with electronic health records, preferably EPIC.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, especially during call periods, with strong decision-making and clinical assessment skills.
- Clean professional background suitable for rapid credentialing and temporary privileges.
