Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary- Deliver anesthesia services independently in a hospital-based setting.
- Work closely with surgical teams across general surgery, gynecology, retina, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, orthopedic spine, general orthopedics, podiatry, and dental procedures.
- Rare involvement with trauma cases, limited primarily to orthopedic and ophthalmic emergencies.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for patient documentation and coordination.
- Engage in a flexible, team-oriented culture, focused on excellence in patient care and safety.
- Administer anesthesia independently for a variety of surgical procedures, adapting techniques to specific patient and procedural needs.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff to promote safe perioperative care and effective pain management strategies.
- Participate in a rotating call schedule, including weekday and weekend coverage, with the ability to respond effectively to emergent surgical needs.
- Manage anesthesia care in settings with limited subspecialty support, demonstrating autonomy, clinical judgment, and adaptability.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive documentation using the EPIC system.
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and quality.
