Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Summary
- Administer anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures across various patient populations
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia, ensuring optimal safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process
- Utilize evidence-based practices and remain current with the latest advances in anesthesia care
- Uphold strict adherence to protocols, policies, and regulatory standards

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to anesthesia administration, including reviewing medical histories and performing physical evaluations
- Determine appropriate anesthesia techniques based on patient condition, surgical/procedural requirements, and consultation with the care team
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia under the supervision or collaboration of physicians
- Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed throughout procedures
- Manage airway, ventilation, and fluid status to ensure patient stability
- Provide immediate response to any anesthesia-related complications or emergencies
- Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and timely in patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs within the organization
- Educate patients and their families on anesthesia procedures and recovery expectations
- Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Active and unrestricted RN and CRNA licenses
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
- Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Nurse Anesthetists
- Demonstrated clinical competence in anesthesia care for a wide range of procedures and patient populations
