The role is structured for providers who are comfortable managing cases without anesthesiologist supervision and adept at utilizing paper charting systems. The contract begins in July 2025 and offers the chance to work within a well-established healthcare institution serving the Northeast Missouri region.

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you will play a critical role in administering anesthesia care across a diverse spectrum of surgical and procedural cases. This assignment requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to work autonomously, making it ideal for those who thrive in independent practice environments. Candidates must possess a current Missouri CRNA license, an active Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), and be fully credentialed within the designated timeframe. The position is designed for those with a solid foundation in performing a variety of anesthetic techniques and managing complex perioperative scenarios.

The patient population and case mix include general surgery, neuro (head/spine), trauma, thoracic, orthopedic, vascular, pediatric, and pain management procedures. The ability to perform regional anesthesia blocks, spinal and epidural anesthesia, ventilation management, as well as central and arterial line placement, is essential. Additional responsibilities include post-operative pain blocks and transforaminal injections, with no requirement for open heart or obstetric cases. This position offers a schedule of day shifts with the potential for back-up call, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment for an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

The hospital setting utilizes paper charting, so proficiency with manual documentation is required. The facility values the expertise of independent CRNAs and offers a supportive environment where advanced practice nurses can exercise their full clinical skill set. The assignment duration is ongoing, offering flexibility and stability for the right candidate. Competitive compensation is provided, with rates reflective of experience and shift volume, and travel and lodging arrangements are negotiable.
