If you are a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) seeking a rewarding locum opportunity, this position offers a unique chance to join a newly launched, technologically advanced ambulatory surgery center. This role is designed for CRNAs who are dedicated to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality anesthesia care across a broad range of outpatient surgical services. As a CRNA, you will become a vital part of a collaborative anesthesia care team, contributing your expertise in a supportive environment with a flexible schedule and no required call shifts.
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position is primarily based at a state-of-the-art surgery center, with the possibility of floating to two nearby affiliated hospitals. The facility is committed to providing exceptional patient care and offers a modern work environment equipped with advanced technology, including robotic-assisted surgical systems. The center specializes in outpatient orthopedic, ENT, and pain management procedures, serving a diverse patient population and handling a variety of surgical cases each day.
As a CRNA in this role, you will enjoy the benefits of a predictable schedule with optional evening and weekend shifts. The facility supports multiple shift options, typically ranging from 8 to 10 hours, with additional extended shifts available. You will provide anesthesia services for general surgery, pain management, GI endoscopy, ENT (including healthy pediatric cases), and orthopedic procedures. Importantly, there is no obstetrics, cardiac, regionals, or central line placement required for this assignment. The practice operates under a supervised Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model, maintaining a 4:1 CRNA-to-physician ratio, and utilizes the Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for seamless documentation and care coordination.
CRNAs in this role are responsible for managing ventilation and arterial lines. All blocks are performed by supervising anesthesiologists, ensuring you can focus on core anesthesia care responsibilities. The system-wide daily case volume typically ranges from 36 to 46 cases, with 15 to 20 cases per site, providing a manageable and engaging patient flow.
This Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity is ideal for professionals who value a collaborative, low-administrative-burden work environment with ample contractor support and comprehensive malpractice insurance coverage. Applicants must hold current board certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), possess an active state nursing license, and maintain up-to-date BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Prior experience in general surgical and outpatient anesthesia is required, and familiarity with Epic EMR is advantageous. Local or regional providers are especially encouraged to apply, though all qualified applicants will be considered.
The facility, opened in 2024, is a cornerstone in a growing network of ambulatory centers focused on improving access, operational efficiency, and personalized care for every patient.
