In this full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position, you will provide comprehensive support to patients, ensuring that care is administered in accordance with both military and civil service standards. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining safety and infection control protocols, and supporting patients with activities of daily living. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of an inpatient hospital setting.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing both psychiatric and medical support to patients, adhering to established protocols and standards. You will be part of a healthcare team that values safety, quality, and effective communication, ensuring all patients receive attentive and compassionate care. The role involves collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient services and maintain accurate medical documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including bathing, feeding, lifting, turning, ambulating, and hygiene support.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, intake and output, and patient status to ensure timely intervention as needed.
- Assist with inpatient psychiatric and medical procedures under supervision.
- Document all patient care activities electronically or manually, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies.
- Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Transport patients for tests, procedures, or appointments within the facility.
- Assist with specimen collection and perform quality control checks on medical equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering strictly to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel, reinforcing care instructions and hospital policies.
- Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and continuing education as required.
- Provide orientation and support for newly assigned personnel.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, recordkeeping, and restocking medical forms and supplies.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and report safety hazards as necessary.
- Rotate between roles such as Individual Care Provider (ICP), Remote Patient Safety Attendant (RPSA), or unit assistant as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and successful registration in the Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Active and unrestricted CNA certification from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- At least one year of experience as a CNA within the past two years, under the supervision of a Physician, LVN, or RN.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Physical ability to independently lift up to 50 pounds and, with assistance, up to 100+ pounds.
