As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in supporting inpatient psychiatric and medical care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and uphold infection control and safety standards. Your skills and attention to detail will ensure the highest level of patient care, accurate documentation, and effective communication within the healthcare team.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Summary
- Provide direct inpatient psychiatric and medical care under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
- Support and assist with daily living activities, patient monitoring, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation and records.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, and specimen collection.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, intake and output, and changes in patient condition; promptly report abnormalities.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
- Assist with medical procedures, examinations, and patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Transport patients for tests, procedures, or appointments within the medical center.
- Provide clear information to patients and visitors regarding hospital policies and resources.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment, adhering to infection control and safety guidelines.
- Participate in unit meetings, patient care conferences, and staff training as required.
- Support administrative tasks, maintain patient care equipment, and contribute to overall unit maintenance.
- Perform other related duties within the CNA scope of practice as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and successful passing of the state exam.
- Current registration in the Nursing Assistant Registry, certified by the Department of Health and Human Services or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Active, valid, and unrestricted CNA certification or authorizing document from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, territory, or jurisdiction.
- At least one year of CNA experience within the last two years, working under the supervision of a Physician, LVN, or RN.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to lift up to 35-50 pounds independently and greater weights with assistance or mechanical devices.

Other Relevant Information
- This full-time position requires working 8-hour shifts, five days per week, with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
- Rotational assignments may include one-to-one patient care, remote patient safety monitoring, or unit-based support roles.
