Decypher is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team and contribute directly to the care and well-being of service members, veterans, and their families. As a valued member of the nursing staff, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will deliver high-quality patient care, support clinical operations, and uphold the organization’s mission to provide exceptional healthcare solutions in partnership with the Defense Health Agency. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is integral to the daily operations of the healthcare facility, focusing on direct patient care, vital sign monitoring, support for medical procedures, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Working collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses (RNs), licensed vocational nurses (LVNs), and other healthcare professionals, the CNA ensures that patients receive attentive, compassionate, and comprehensive care. The position requires the ability to adapt to regularly scheduled or emergency care requirements, follow established protocols, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for documenting and recording patient care activities in compliance with established policies, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping. Your duties will include verifying patient identifiers, monitoring and recording vital signs, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and ambulation, and supporting the healthcare provider during examinations and procedures. You will also assist with the orientation of new personnel, perform administrative tasks, and help maintain the general upkeep of the unit and patient care equipment.

CNAs are expected to provide care to a diverse patient population, including those requiring age-specific support and those in isolation. The role may involve rotating assignments between individual patient care, remote patient monitoring, or assisting nursing care teams as needed. Safety and infection control are paramount, and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) must adhere strictly to established protocols, exercise universal precautions, and respond appropriately to safety hazards or emergency situations. Effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to patient confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

Applicants for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position must have completed a state-approved CNA program, hold current and unrestricted certification, and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross. A minimum of one year of recent experience in the specialty under supervision is required. U.S. citizenship is also necessary.
