As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team by delivering direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols, and documenting patient care activities accurately. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is integral to the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing support in both inpatient psychiatric and medical units. You will be involved in a variety of patient care tasks, from assisting with daily living activities to participating in medical procedures and supporting thorough documentation and record-keeping. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Summary
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of physicians, LVNs, and RNs
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical status
- Assist with procedures and daily living activities for patients
- Support safety and infection control measures throughout the healthcare setting
- Participate in team conferences and contribute to discharge planning and staff meetings
- Rotate between individual, remote monitoring, and unit-based care roles as needed
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric and medical support
- Record and maintain accurate patient care documentation in compliance with facility policies
- Verify patient identifiers and perform, monitor, and record vital sign measurements
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, feeding, lifting, turning, and ambulation
- Dispense meal trays and ice water, support self-care instructions, and reinforce professional staff guidance
- Participate in the collection of specimens and assist healthcare providers during medical examinations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas and equipment, manage supplies, and dispose of soiled materials appropriately
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, including patient transport for tests and procedures
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to supervising staff
- Adhere to infection control and safety policies, exercising universal precautions as required
- Participate in orientation and training of new personnel and assist with administrative tasks as needed
- Provide age-specific care based on standard operating procedures and provider orders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain clear, professional communication with staff, patients, and visitors

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Active CNA certification or authorizing document from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or U.S. territory
- Registered in the Nursing Assistant Registry and certified by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- At least one year of recent experience in the specialty under the supervision of a Physician, LVN, or RN
- Ability to lift independently up to 35–50 pounds and up to 75–100+ pounds with assistance or mechanical devices
- U.S. Citizenship required
