Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Summary
- Full-time Certified Nurse Midwife position within a respected healthcare network.
- Deliver comprehensive women’s health services, including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
- Work collaboratively with OB Hospitalists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Serve patients in both outpatient clinic and hospital environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope midwifery care, including health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of women’s reproductive health needs.
- Conduct prenatal visits, manage labor and delivery, and offer postpartum care and counseling.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, infant care, and women’s health issues.
- Collaborate with physicians, OB Hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Support and mentor nursing staff, students, and new team members as appropriate.
- Demonstrate commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and organizational values.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
- Active or eligibility for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
- Minimum of two years’ experience practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in full-scope midwifery care, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective patient relationships and collaborate with healthcare team members.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
