Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Summary
- Deliver full-scope obstetrical and well-women gynecological care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with experienced OB/GYN physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the midwifery and women's health program.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological care within a clinical practice.
- Perform hospital rounding and inpatient deliveries in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians.
- Conduct well-women exams, family planning, and health education sessions.
- Implement and follow established clinical protocols, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
- Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
- Support patient advocacy and promote health literacy among the patient population.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in midwifery and women's health care.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through an accredited certifying body.
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
- Graduation from an accredited nurse-midwifery program.
- Proficiency in providing full-scope midwifery care, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological services.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient relationship-building skills.
