This Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) position is a contracted role, offering flexibility in scheduling and a unique chance to gain experience within a robust labor and delivery unit. The facility utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system, providing a modern and efficient work environment. The CNM will work closely with Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists and OB/GYN providers, ensuring a team-based approach to patient care. The assignment duration ranges from nine to twelve months, with coverage needed for 24-hour in-house call shifts, typically one to three shifts per week. The annual hospital census is approximately 1,400 births, with a daily census ranging from two to six patients, allowing for manageable caseloads and focused, quality care.

As a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), your primary responsibilities will include managing laboring patients, performing first-assist duties in Cesarean sections, and delivering comprehensive inpatient maternity care. Occasionally, the role may require brief clinic visits to provide additional patient support. All candidates must be certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience in first-assisting for Cesarean deliveries is required. While a Montana state license is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this opportunity accessible to a broader range of qualified candidates.
