As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will contribute to a collaborative healthcare team by conducting patient interviews, measuring and recording vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms for examinations. You will be expected to maintain meticulous records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, support providers during patient assessments, and perform a variety of diagnostic and laboratory procedures. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Interviewing patients and recording vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
- Documenting patient information accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Preparing examination rooms and arranging necessary instruments and equipment
- Draping and positioning patients for procedures
- Assisting providers by handing instruments and materials during examinations
- Operating medical equipment such as electrocardiographs (EKG) and administering routine diagnostic tests
- Performing venipunctures, routine lab tests, injections, and ear lavages as directed
- Coordinating patient appointments, maintaining medical and x-ray records, and handling secretarial and insurance documentation tasks
- Providing tele-triage services and managing computer-based triage templates when necessary
- Participating in staff and team meetings to maintain current knowledge and best practices
- Adhering strictly to the scope of practice as defined by licensure or certification
- Completing additional duties, hours, or site placements as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–2 years of direct experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical capacity
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current license or certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems and clinical procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
