Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Summary
- Support the clinical and administrative operations of a primary care facility dedicated to value-based care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and practice efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by gathering medical history, measuring vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Perform routine diagnostic tests and screenings as directed by medical staff.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and communicate relevant information as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical and administrative records using the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to achieve common patient care goals.
- Communicate with patients, families, or friends to provide advice, comfort, and instructions regarding care and follow-up.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Quality Care initiatives to uphold and advance healthcare standards.
- Perform other assigned medical and administrative duties efficiently and effectively as directed by the management team.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant medical experience.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems preferred.
