The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will also be responsible for administering EKGs, in-office clinical testing, and injections, as well as handling prescription refill requests. Familiarity with insurance eligibility verification and the ability to serve as a liaison between patients and physicians are essential aspects of this role.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position requires candidates to have completed an accredited medical assistant program and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a private medical practice setting is highly valued, as is experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Aprima.
