This includes triaging and rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and documenting patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will also be responsible for administering EKGs, in-office clinical testing, and injections, as well as handling prescription refill requests. Familiarity with insurance eligibility verification and the ability to serve as a liaison between patients and physicians are essential aspects of this role.
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position requires candidates to have completed an accredited medical assistant program and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a private medical practice setting is highly valued, as is experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Aprima.
