As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of linen products between our facilities and customer locations. This includes loading and unloading linen carts, completing all necessary documentation, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized vehicle. Your ability to follow established procedures and provide exceptional service is essential to our operations. CDL Truck Driver - Summary

The CDL Truck Driver ensures customer deliveries are accurate, timely, and completed within established timeframes. This position requires strict adherence to safety standards, company policies, and DOT requirements, while maintaining a clean driving record and professional appearance. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance and wear the required uniform daily.
• Follow attendance policy and arrive on schedule for all assigned shifts.
• Keep company vehicles and equipment clean, organized, and in optimal condition.
• Report any mechanical issues or vehicle concerns to the chief engineer promptly.
• Observe all universal precautions and procedures, especially when handling soiled linens.
• Maintain all required DOT documentation and certifications, including daily logs and inspection reports.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents or concerns immediately.
• Communicate any issues related to customer service or satisfaction to management.
• Load and unload linen carts at both company and customer locations, tagging each cart as required.
• Accurately complete and submit all paperwork and logs daily.
• Weigh soiled linens under the correct customer account and deliver them to the designated area upon return.
• Disinfect vehicle interiors after each collection of soiled linens.
• Turn in pre-trip vehicle inspection reports daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid CDL driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Successful completion of a DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull wheeled carts weighing up to 700 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations
• Professional demeanor and appearance at all times
