CDL Class A Truck Driver - Summary
- Operate company vehicles to transport raw materials between distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and vendor locations.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of freight using modern day cabs.
- Perform both drop-and-hook and live load/unload tasks as required by route assignments.
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to company policies, safety standards, and federal regulations at all times.
- Work a consistent schedule with home daily opportunities, promoting work-life balance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class A vehicle, following all DOT and Jones Logistics safety guidelines.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Transport inbound raw materials and execute plant-to-plant transfers as scheduled.
- Handle routes that may include drop-and-hook as well as live loading and unloading, including bumping docks and moving trailers within the yard.
- Complete all required documentation for deliveries and pickups accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean driving record and operate equipment responsibly at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and other team members.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- At least 21 years of age with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with live load/unload and yard movements.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
