The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for supporting the full spectrum of cardiac services offered within the lab, including interventional, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures. Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) - Summary
- Integral member of the cardiac catheterization laboratory team
- Supports a comprehensive range of cardiac procedures, including diagnostic, interventional, electrophysiology, and structural interventions
- Participates in on-call rotation for emergency cases
- Maintains high standards of patient safety and clinical quality
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac catheterization patients
- Monitor and assess patient status throughout procedures and during recovery
- Assist cardiologists and other clinical staff during interventional, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond to patient needs during procedures
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
- Participate in on-call rotation, responding promptly to after-hours emergencies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and post-discharge care

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous experience in cardiac catheterization lab or critical care setting strongly preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to professional standards
