As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in constructing and finishing custom homes, working both independently and as part of a crew under the direction of experienced supervisors.
Carpenter - Summary- Full-time Carpenter position focused on residential framing and finish carpentry
- Work on high-quality, custom residential construction projects

- Execute work assignments as directed by the Carpenter Foreman
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Set up, clean, and organize the job site; handle and transport materials as required
- Cut, assemble, and install framing materials for custom residential projects
- Build and sheet interior and exterior walls; construct floor, wall, and roof systems
- Assist with concrete forms, foundations, layout, and framing of walls
- Install door and window frames, floor joists, ceiling joists, and roof framing
- Participate in stair construction and other custom carpentry tasks
- Operate tools such as Skilsaw, Sawzall, levels, and layout tools
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Maintain positive and professional working relationships with team members and supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in residential construction, with a focus on framing and/or finish carpentry
- Proficiency with basic carpentry tools as specified by S.R. Freeman, Inc.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and interpret basic blueprints
- Valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record
- Physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds and handling construction materials
- Comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and at heights above 20 feet
- Good eyesight and depth perception required
- Effective communication skills in English, including following verbal and written instructions
- Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious
- Takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship
- Thrives in both independent and team environments
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Possesses knowledge of roof framing, stair layout, floor systems, and concrete form work
- Experience with custom residential construction highly preferred
