With a manageable caseload averaging approximately 34 cardiac cases per week, the Cardiovascular Perfusionist (ABCP, Perfusionist) can focus on high-quality patient outcomes and professional growth while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The scope of practice for this Cardiovascular Perfusionist (ABCP, Perfusionist) position includes a variety of open-heart surgical procedures, including valve repair and replacement, thoracic aortic aneurysm repairs, septal myectomies, and structural heart procedures such as TAVR/TEER. You will also be responsible for providing ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and cell saver support, making this an ideal role for those with a solid background in adult cardiac perfusion and ECMO experience.
Applicants for the Cardiovascular Perfusionist (ABCP, Perfusionist) position should have completed an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion program and possess ABCP certification or be Board Eligible. A current or in-progress state license is required, along with demonstrable clinical proficiency in adult cardiac procedures and ECMO support. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset are essential for thriving in this environment.
