The Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) is a pivotal member of the surgical care team, specializing in the support and management of patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures. As a CVOR RN, you will be directly involved in all phases of cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, from preoperative preparations to intraoperative management and postoperative care. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular surgical protocols, expert clinical judgment, and the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changing patient needs. A strong background in robotic-assisted surgery, specifically with the Da Vinci XI system, is essential, as you will play an integral role in supporting minimally invasive procedures that demand precision, technical expertise, and unwavering attention to detail.

Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) - Summary- Expert nursing role within a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment
- Specialization in cardiovascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted surgeries
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment focused on patient safety and surgical excellence
- Provide specialized nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases in the CVOR
- Maintain and manage a sterile surgical field before, during, and after procedures
- Utilize Da Vinci XI and other advanced robotic surgical systems to assist in minimally invasive cases
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient status, manage instrumentation, and respond to emergencies during surgery
- Serve as a subject matter expert for acute care surgical standards and cardiovascular best practices
- Document all procedures and patient responses according to hospital protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation, including call-backs and coverage for weekends as required

- Minimum of 3 years of direct CVOR experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated expertise with Da Vinci XI robotic surgical platform is required
- Active and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical judgment, technical skills, and ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment
- Seasoned CVOR RN with a passion for cardiovascular and robotic-assisted surgery
- Excellent communicator and collaborative team player
- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to surgical excellence
- Comfortable managing high-acuity cases and rapidly changing clinical situations
- Five 8-hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday
- Shifts may vary between 06:30–15:00 and 10:45–19:00
- Mandatory on-call rotation every other weekend, with call-back responsibilities
