Cardiovascular ICU Nurse Practitioner (CVSICU NP) – Full-time Locum
Palm Health Resources is actively seeking highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular ICU Nurse Practitioners (CVSICU NP) to join our team for a 36-month full-time locum assignment in Baltimore, MD. This role is designed for advanced practice providers who are dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care in a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care environment. As a Cardiovascular ICU Nurse Practitioner (CVSICU NP), you will be responsible for managing complex cases, performing advanced procedures, and ensuring optimal outcomes for patients requiring intensive cardiovascular support. The position follows a rotating schedule of 12-13 hour shifts, covering both day and night rotations from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, totaling 40 hours per week. This dynamic schedule offers exposure to a variety of critical situations, providing continuous professional growth and skill development.

In this role, the Cardiovascular ICU Nurse Practitioner (CVSICU NP) will be expected to perform a range of complex procedures, including but not limited to:
- Chest and Blake tube removal
- Epicardial wire removal
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) removal
- Bronchoscopy
- Swan-Ganz catheter and NDT placement
- Central and arterial line placement (including large-bore and ventricular assist device access)
- Rewiring of central vascular access
This position requires advanced clinical judgment and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must be adept at performing invasive procedures and have documented competency in line placement and care for complex cardiovascular ICU patients, including those with transplant, VAD, and ECMO experience.

- Experienced Acute Care NP or PA with a passion for cardiovascular critical care
