Palm Health is seeking highly skilled Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our specialized cardiovascular team. This role offers the chance to work within a high-acuity cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU), collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of intensivists and surgical APPs. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, with immediate opportunities available upon credentialing. This is an outstanding opportunity for experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who possess advanced expertise in critical care and cardiovascular patient management.
As a member of the cardiovascular ICU team, the Cardiovascular ICU APP (NP/PA) will provide direct clinical care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, contributing to the recovery and ongoing management of critically ill individuals. The role involves hands-on patient care, participation in coordinated treatment plans, and engagement with a nationally recognized cardiovascular program. Professionals with strong procedural skills, a background in advanced cardiac life support, and a commitment to best practices in cardiovascular recovery are encouraged to apply.
This position features a 24-bed cardiovascular ICU, with 12-hour shifts and a preference for night shift coverage. Providers will not be required to take call, ensuring a balanced work schedule. Patient volumes typically range up to four ICU-level patients per provider per shift, allowing for focused, high-quality care. The Cardiovascular ICU APP (NP/PA) will play a vital role in supporting patient outcomes, contributing to team-based initiatives, and participating in ongoing professional development within the specialty of cardiovascular critical care. The employment term is available through March 2026, with the possibility of extension based on program needs and provider interest.
Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – CVICU NP/PA Summary- Direct patient care for high-acuity cardiovascular ICU patients in a 24-bed unit
- Collaborative role with intensivists, surgical APPs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Both full-time and part-time employment types available
- Immediate start dates upon completion of credentialing
- Employment term through March 2026, with extension potential
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and interventions for critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Perform and assist with procedures relevant to cardiovascular ICU care
- Monitor patient progress, interpret diagnostic results, and adjust care plans accordingly
- Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the EPIC EMR system
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to team-based patient management decisions
- Support patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Adhere to evidence-based practices in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and critical care protocols

- Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Current Board Certification as ACNP or PA-C
- Active ACLS certification required; CALS certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience in cardiovascular recovery and critical care environments
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR strongly preferred
- Demonstrates strong procedural and clinical skills in a cardiovascular ICU setting
