Duties & Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative management.
- Participate in 24-hour call shifts, supporting the operating room and responding to urgent patient needs as required.
- Conduct patient rounds, manage clinical documentation, and coordinate care transitions in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Perform a broad range of cardiothoracic procedures as delegated by the supervising surgeon, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Utilize Epic EMR for all aspects of patient documentation, order entry, and clinical communications.
- Apply appropriate E&M clinic codes for clinical encounters and patient billing documentation.
- Collaborate with a full support staff to optimize patient care and streamline workflow in both clinical and surgical settings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving standards and procedures in cardiothoracic surgery, actively participating in professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards of practice.

- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery or a related surgical specialty is strongly preferred.
