Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care under the supervision of cardiothoracic surgeons
- Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including preparation, intraoperative support, and post-surgical management
- Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop patient care plans
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in daily rounds, documentation, and discharge planning for cardiothoracic patients
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Respond to emergency situations and provide advanced life support as required
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and promote evidence-based practices
