Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant PA-C - Summary- Support and assist in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery, including patient evaluation, surgical procedures, and post-operative management.
- Serve as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to innovative patient care and surgical success.
- Provide expert clinical care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment in Los Angeles.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, collect and document clinical data, and develop care plans under the supervision of attending surgeons.
- Assist in the operating room, including endoscopic vein and artery harvesting, intra-operative support, and other procedural responsibilities.
- Participate in daily patient rounds, communicate findings and recommendations, and maintain accurate records.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions in cardiothoracic surgery patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the surgical process.

- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and valid Physician Assistant license.
- NCCPA certification (PA-C) required.
- DEA license and ACLS certification required.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Physician Assistant, with demonstrated expertise in cardiothoracic and/or cardiac surgery.
- Proficiency in endoscopic vein and artery harvesting techniques.
- Ability to manage rotating night shifts and weekend schedules.
