You will also be responsible for comprehensive care, including floor coverage, participation in patient rounds, and occasional office visits. The position requires hands-on experience with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and the full continuum of perioperative patient management.

Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and SAVR.
- Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and ensure high-quality surgical outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive patient care, covering the floor, participating in clinical rounds, and conducting office visits as needed.
- Manage an average case load of two major procedures per day.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to both acute and long-term patient management.
- Participate in weekend coverage and on-call duties as part of the contract schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP).
- Active Virginia state license and current DEA certification.
- Demonstrated experience in cardiothoracic surgery, including first-assist roles in CABG and SAVR procedures.
- Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and perioperative care.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a surgical team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
