Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiothoracic conditions
- Perform a range of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass, heart valve repair/replacement, lung resections, mediastinal tumor removals, and minimally invasive thoracic surgeries
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, including patient consultations, diagnostic imaging review, and risk evaluations
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to plan and execute surgeries
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and coordinating discharge planning
- Document all patient interactions and surgical procedures accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary meetings
- Stay current with advances in cardiothoracic surgery through continuing education and professional development

Qualifications & Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery
- Board certification or board eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine
- Demonstrated experience in a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
