Cardiothoracic Surgeon (CT Surgeon) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, and thoracic resections
- Participate in a balanced rotation of surgical, inpatient, and perioperative responsibilities
- Engage in a call schedule of 1:3, with coverage limited to a single hospital, ensuring focused patient care and quality of life
- Collaborate closely with a dedicated Physician Assistant for clinic operations, inpatient rounding, surgical assistance, as well as administrative and clinical workflow support
- Work alongside a robust team of hospital and operating room professionals to deliver high-quality, high-acuity cardiac care
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in surgical outcomes and patient experience
- Contribute to the program’s growth through clinical leadership, innovation, and mentorship

- Attractive paid time off (PTO) policy: 30 days in Year 1, 32 days in Year 2, and 35 days from Year 3 onward

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Minimum of 10 years post-fellowship experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Extensive experience in full-spectrum adult cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Vascular surgery experience is welcomed, but not mandatory
- Eligible for medical licensure in Florida
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and ongoing professional development
