Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical intervention
- Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, lung resections, and other chest-related procedures
- Collaborate with other specialists to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative consultations, providing clear explanations and compassionate care to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing surgical expertise to patient management discussions
- Stay current with advancements in cardiothoracic surgery through ongoing professional development, research, and participation in relevant medical conferences
- Supervise and mentor surgical residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals as required
- Maintain detailed, accurate medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in general surgery
- Fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery
- Board certification or eligibility in cardiothoracic surgery
- Valid and unrestricted medical license
- Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
