Cardiothoracic Surgeon - Summary- Specializes in performing surgical procedures involving the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other thoracic organs
- Works in a dynamic, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
- Utilizes innovative surgical techniques and state-of-the-art technology

- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical intervention
- Perform a wide range of cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, lung resections, and other chest-related procedures
- Collaborate with other specialists to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative consultations, providing clear explanations and compassionate care to patients and their families
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing surgical expertise to patient management discussions
- Stay current with advancements in cardiothoracic surgery through ongoing professional development, research, and participation in relevant medical conferences
- Supervise and mentor surgical residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals as required

- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in general surgery
- Fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery
