The position primarily involves 24-hour beeper call coverage, ensuring timely response to surgical needs within a 30-minute window. The schedule is flexible, with 2-4 weeks of coverage per month, and does not include clinic or office hours, allowing you to focus on high-acuity patient care in a hospital setting.
This Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) role is designed for experienced surgical advanced practice providers, including those with backgrounds as Physician Assistants (PA-C), Nurse Practitioners (NP), or Registered Nurse First Assistants (RNFA), who possess demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary- Locum tenens assignment supporting a leading cardiovascular surgery program
- Contract position with flexible 2-4 week monthly coverage schedule
- Primary focus on endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) and post-operative patient rounding

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive perioperative care
- Document all patient encounters, procedures, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
