The position involves day shift coverage from Monday through Friday, with additional responsibilities for weekend rounding once a month. Call coverage is required one weekday per week and two weekends per month, along with participation in a holiday rotation. Candidates should possess specialized certification or documented experience in open-heart surgery, endovascular vein harvesting, and advanced post-operative management, including pulling chest tubes, pacing wires, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
Responsibilities extend across the continuum of patient care, including hospital consults, discharges, daily rounding in both the intensive care unit (ICU) and step-down units, and collaboration with the broader healthcare team.
