Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Full-time position in a tertiary care and regional heart center setting

Duties & Responsibilities
- First assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including vein harvesting using the Maquet Hemopro system
- Conduct inpatient rounds and manage postoperative care alongside the care team
- Participate in outpatient clinic visits and preoperative patient evaluations
- Provide comprehensive care throughout the patient’s surgical experience, from admission to discharge
- Document patient interactions and care plans using Cerner and Athena EMR systems
- Participate in regular call coverage as part of a structured rotation
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other staff to support optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Active licensure as required
- Proven proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
