Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary
- Locum contract role with leading heart surgery programs
- Full-time position involving both cardiac and thoracic surgery

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist cardiothoracic surgeons in the operating room for cardiac and thoracic procedures
- Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient rounds and assessments
- Provide advanced clinical support, including surgical assists, wound care, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Participate in call rotation (1:5) and provide coverage as scheduled during weekdays and weekends
- Document all patient interactions, procedures, and care plans accurately in medical records
- Adhere to all facility policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification
- Active and unrestricted PA licensure in applicable states (must cover all assigned facilities)
- Demonstrated experience in cardiothoracic and/or cardiac surgery settings
- Ability to obtain temporary and emergency privileges as required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work full-time, including scheduled call and weekend coverage
