The Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) will be responsible for providing a full continuum of care, with approximately 60% of time dedicated to the operating room (OR), including endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH). Additional responsibilities include conducting hospital rounds, entering medical orders into the hospital system, and assisting with outpatient clinic operations. This role requires a current, active state physician assistant license and readiness to begin work promptly, reflecting the immediate need for coverage during a specified period.
The Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) position will primarily be based at a single healthcare facility, with occasional on-call support required at a nearby secondary location. Both facilities are in close proximity, ensuring efficient transitions between work sites as needed. Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary- Contract opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- Immediate need for coverage during a specified assignment period
- Engage in both surgical and non-surgical patient care activities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team
- Provide direct assistance to cardiothoracic surgeons in the operating room, with a focus on endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)

- Enter and manage medical orders and documentation within the hospital system
- Assist with outpatient clinic operations, including patient evaluations and follow-ups
- Participate in on-call rotation at a secondary nearby facility as needed
