The position is designed for immediate start with an ongoing duration, supporting both hospital and clinic operations. This role encompasses a full continuum of care, with a primary focus in the operating room (OR), and includes responsibilities in the intensive care unit (ICU) and outpatient clinic. The position requires obtaining hospital and surgery center privileges, with the option for temporary privileges to facilitate a swift onboarding process.

Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary- Full-time contract opportunity for experienced Physician Assistants specializing in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery
- Immediate start with ongoing assignment at a renowned Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Certified hospital
- Primarily OR-based with responsibilities extending to ICU and clinic settings
- Hospital and surgery center privileges required; temporary privileges are available for expedited onboarding
- Open to candidates holding an IMLC license
- Provide perioperative care to cardiothoracic surgery patients, including pre-operative assessment, intraoperative first-assist, and post-operative management
- Work collaboratively with the surgical team in the operating room, ensuring optimal patient safety and care quality
- Manage patient care in the ICU, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for continuity of care
- Participate in outpatient clinics to evaluate and follow up with cardiothoracic patients
- Respond to beeper-based call duties on a 1:2 ratio, with a 15-minute response time requirement
- Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters, surgical procedures, and care plans
- Obtain and maintain hospital and surgery center privileges as required
