The main responsibility is to provide first and second assistance in the operating room during open-heart cases and related procedures. Proficiency in Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) is a required skill for this position, ensuring efficient and safe surgical practice. The role also encompasses patient management on the hospital floor, including pre- and post-operative care, and participation in call coverage as outlined by the program.

Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- First and second assist in the operating room during complex cardiothoracic surgeries, including AVR, CABG, MVR, and other open-heart cases.
- Perform Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) proficiently.
- Participate in thoracic and vascular cases as required.
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Conduct patient rounds, document findings, and communicate with team members regarding patient status.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and care instructions.
- Fulfill call obligations, including one weekend per month, ensuring continuous patient support.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
