Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary- Contract position for a skilled Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA-C) in a high-volume cardiac surgery program.

- Respond to inquiries from nursing and office staff regarding patient care.
- Complete all patient documentation, including progress notes, consults, history and physicals, and discharge summaries in Epic.
- Ensure all necessary patient information, including imaging and labs for upcoming surgeries, is organized and accessible.
- Review and confirm pre-operative labs and testing to prevent delays or cancellations.
- Enter orders for upcoming procedures into the electronic medical record system.
- Conduct rounds on inpatients in the ICU and on the floor, monitoring patient progress and addressing care needs.
- Discharge patients who are ready, ensuring all documentation and orders are completed.
- Order required labs, diagnostic imaging such as chest x-rays, and other necessary assessments.
- Competitive hourly compensation with overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 per week.
