As a Cardiothoracic NP or PA, you will be an integral member of the inpatient care team, working closely with fellow advanced practice providers, physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. Your responsibilities will center on managing patients throughout their continuum of care, particularly in the step-down and clinic areas, with no ICU or operating room duties required. This allows for a focused and specialized approach to patient management in a non-operative setting.
Providers in this role will benefit from a balanced work schedule, consisting of seven days worked within a fourteen-day period, promoting an excellent quality of life and work-life balance. There are no on-call responsibilities, allowing you to concentrate fully on patient care during your scheduled shifts. In this capacity, you will conduct comprehensive patient rounds, perform history and physicals (H&Ps), and participate in patient consultations.
