Cardiothoracic ICU Nurse Practitioner (CTICU NP) - Summary- Advanced practice role focused on cardiothoracic intensive care
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available in Long Island, NY

- Provide comprehensive care for post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients in the ICU setting
- Manage patients who have undergone CABG, valve replacements, heart transplants, and lung transplants
- Oversee care for patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support (LVADs, ECMO)
- Perform invasive procedures including placement of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP)
- Participate in ECMO cannulation in collaboration with surgical teams
- Lead daily patient management, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the CTICU
