In this full-time assignment, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive cardiology services, supporting patients across a diverse spectrum of needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting admissions, performing daily rounding, consulting with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality care in both clinic and inpatient settings. Occasional telehealth consultations ensure that patients receive timely and effective support, regardless of their location. The assignment is structured for a minimum of 13 weeks, with the potential to extend up to 6 months, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth and the development of specialized skills within the field of cardiology.
The schedule for this Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA-C) role is carefully balanced to optimize patient outcomes and support work-life harmony. Clinical hours typically run from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, while inpatient coverage is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will also participate in a rotating call schedule, handling one weekday and one weekend call per month, which allows you to work closely with the cardiology team and deepen your clinical expertise.
As a Cardiology Physician Assistant (PA-C), your day-to-day activities will include floor work, inpatient rounding, patient consults, and direct clinic care. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless transitions of care and the best possible outcomes for each patient. The ability to adapt to a variety of clinical settings, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary environment will be key to your success in this role.
